Pick a 3d model from the 3D Warehouse library and save it as a 3D Rad object




  • Make sure you are connected to the Internet.


  • Launch Google SketchUp by clicking the icon above, on your desktop.


  • Delete the default figure to get a completely empty scene.


  • Access the 3D Warehouse library as shown in this video and load the 3d model called English Tudor Gatehouse.


  • Place the model approximately at the center of the world.


  • Export the model as a Static RigidBody, called Gatehouse.


  • NOTE

    This 3d model was created by the author with all faces properly 'oriented' and without 'garbage' geometry (degenerate triangles etc).

    This isn't always the case for models you can find in the 3D Warehouse, unfortunately.

    Exporting these 3d models directly to a RigidBody object may not work as expected.

    To create a RigidBody object for them you can use this alternate technique.
