No, initially it will not. Thanx for pointing it out MaxGamer !

It will certainly be proposed subsequently as further improvement.

Ok one more question for me, will I be technically able to this : http://www.3drad.com/forum/index.php?topic=2418.msg18543#msg18543 with this new feature if we got the correct shader(s).
Or does this involve vertex alpha, coloring ?

I'm very interested in getting texture splatting to work in rad blended by alpha as MaxGamer decribed in that post.
This way we could create very detailed splatted terrains :)

Absolutely! Blending two or more textures together the way MaxGamer described in that post will be definitely possible by writing a custom shader.

first I have no experience with shaders, so I'm sorry if I sound like having never seen the third dimension...  ;)

1. Will it be possible to change the parameters in runtime by a script?
So we can write our own Shader-editor and save the params?

2. Will Hair,Gras and Fur be possible?
I've seen samplepics at Pixars RenderMan Page

3. Will it only visible at a Skinmesh or also with particles? (glow/fire things)

70 dollars comming your way. Lets stop talking and start funding. I also need soft dynamic shadows to be added to the list. And a big improvement to the frame rates both in the editor and the final project. And better compatibility with Windows (so no extra dll's are needed. On a Vista PC with DirectX 10 with no upgrades 3drad needs an extra DirectX dll).

I just donated too! I don't actually need this feature yet, but it may come in useful later and I think it's a great feature to have anyway.

I added some too, my main goal here is getting splatting going on my terrains.
HLSL doesn't seem very hard allthough I've never written a shader, but I'm up for a challenge. :)

Thanx guys  :)

I shall start working on this tomorrow. I belive we can have this in the December 2009 update  :)

The 8 week timeframe is just the worst case scenario.
