if you have the whole universe in one project, it will take a LONG time to load unless you script update different rigid bodies as well as skinmeshes.

I would divide the maps a bit like in tabula rasa.  (been a while since I played that) Which I do believe was divided in lvl's

you must have all your levels into the same project, and so on... this could be a living hell...
Yes... so keep your project well organized as you will probably have hundreds of objects in your objects list. Like I said on this one: be as efficient as possible- or according to the size of your universe.

Well something definitely is trying to un-install 3DRad from my commuter

strange... ;D ;D ;D ;D

The .cmp files are needed only when you compile your game. They are used to tell the compiler what files are not needed in the compilation I believe. It then reduces the file size of your compiled project. It probably has nothing to do with uninstalling 3drad. True?
true... you can delete them if you don't need... to create them again, simply open and close the project you want to compile (without saving it. If you save the project, the .cmp is not created)

all of your features can be done with 3dRad (maybe only limited on the multiplayer issues involved in a mmo game...) but based on my experience, I suggest to you to make "small" levels... managing too much objects in 3dRad is a hard task (but not impossible)... keep in mind that in 3dRad, the "instance" concept don't exists (except for skinmesh objects) then, you will need to include all objects in the same project... if you don't want loading times between levels, you must have all your levels into the same project, and so on... this could be a living hell...  ;D ;D ;D

I'll look some more to see if any other software has something to do with trying to sabotage my work
But the funny thing is I have a lot of other programs running at the same time 3-4 programs at the time for 2 years and never had a problem like this with other programs just 3DRad, its strange.

So, Fernando what about my question on .cmp files getting copied to project file every time I open some new project is this function normal?  Now I have duplicates of all projects I opened as .cmp files.

Imo: It's easier said than done. It might take a year or two assuming your making your own models.
You feature requirements:
1. Easy
2. Good modeling skills required
3. Easy
4. Depends on the complexity of your universe.. Should take some very efficient modeling and texturing
5. Scripting knowledge required
6. Scripting knowledge required
7. More scripting knowledge required
8. I have no idea... Should be possible with a little creativity and really good scripting skills
Make sure you have a solid game plan so you don't get stuck half way through because most projects end up that way. But all in all, 3drad would be an excellent choice for that type of game.

Im planning on trying to develop a space game which is sorta like a mix of tabula rasa and infinity quest for earth, this game would be an mmo. i like 3d rad but am not sure if i can use it to develop this game,

some of the features that would be in the game are-
 -flying space ships
-control players on land (or large space ships or space stations)
-air,sea, and land vehicles that are drivable
-seamless transition between planets and space ( no loading times )
 -3rd person fps style gameplay
 -weapons suchs as guns,swords
-inventory system that changes size depending on backpack player is equipped with, different inventory size depending on ship type
 - ability to craft items out of other items
there are probably alot more features that i haven't listed here but with the great physics 3drad has, upcoming multiplayer updates and ease of use that 3drad has i really hope that i can use it for my project
i'd be willing to wait longer(like 1 year the most) and fund certain features if 3drad is capable of making mmo games and such, so can it do what i need it to do?

Hi Fernando... if you accept some suggestions to improve 3dRad...

The fields tab order in some object windows (ex. skinmesh object) are not very logical and I've noticed this issue also in other objects...

It's not very important really, but ordered fields could be great... Can you fix them easily? If not, forget it... as I said, it's nothing important...

thanks
